Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner | up to £35,000 depending on experience, Band 6 equivalent | Funded courses and award winning CPD | Tollerton, Nottingham | Full time or Part time; Monday - Saturday | Flexible shifts, No nights

As part of our expansion at Spire Nottingham Hospital, we are looking for experienced anaesthetic ODP's to join our outstanding team. You will have experience within at least one of the following specialities; orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmics, spinal or general surgery. We offer funded courses and award winning CPD to ensure you reach your full potential and limited weekends and no nights means you regain your work / life balance.

Duties and responsibilities:

Working as part of this friendly and supportive team you can expect to assist patients undergoing a range of elective procedures. We also offer fully funded courses and award winning CPD as part of this role, and support staff with any additional training they feel suitable for their role.

  • Prepare the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific operative procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum
  • Ensure the patient record is completed in a timely and accurate way
  • Run a theatre list without supervision
  • Perform anaesthetic duties

Who we're looking for:

  • Be NMC or HCPC registered - your registration should not have any restrictions or conditions
  • At least 1 years' anaesthetics experience in any of the following specialities; orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmics, spinal or general surgery.
  • Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
  • Strong communication skills
